2-26-10 update:

With the UK and the social medicine we have had to wait some time before my mum got to see a specialist about her leg. After being told numerous times that she would have to have a bone graft from the hip, plates, screws and a halo (the big metal type cast), we had not given up hope that God would step in and heal.

My mum saw a specialist a few days ago. As she waited to see him she noticed a man coming out of the room with a metal contraption attached to his leg with screws going into the skin etc. She just felt sick and cried out to God that this is not an option for her.

The pain in her leg was the same, the swelling the same and the limping the same. But we still had faith. When she went in to be examined, the doctor looked at the new x-rays and looked very surprised. He said in the previous reports that it said she needed an operation and the plates etc., but he was very hesitant about doing it. He just kept looking at the reports and looking at the new x-rays and said in his opinion no further work was necessary because the bones were healing nicely!!! What a miracle! My mum is now walking out on it in faith! Wow, thank you so much for all your prayers and support for my family through all this.

She broke her leg 9 months ago and ended up in a wheel chair for 6 of those months. She is disabled and unable to support herself on crutches. She has been limping and still in very bad pain. UK finally gave MRI and found out its still broken and worse than before. There is a half centimeter gap in the bone and no possibility of closure! The only specialist is in Haiti right now and this is an emergency… What really worries me is if she looses the ability to use the leg properly she will be in a wheelchair…my father is disabled too and I don’t know if he can even look after my mum?! We need a miracle!
