Killer Root

Medical journals record that many diseases and disorders are caused by fear, stress, and anxiety. In my own experience, I came to realize that fear, stress, and anxiety can cause autoimmune problems and even lead to complete and total physical breakdown. In his book, Destined to Reign, Joseph Prince shares revelation of a root even deeper than fear, stress, and anxiety - condemnation. It is a killer. Here is the confirmation that Lord gave me on that today...in the form of a song:

When we listen to the voice of the enemy and do not use the weapons of our warfare to counter it, we easily come into agreement with him. We get stuck in the muck of condemnation, guilt, shame, anxiety, oppression, depression - sickness and disease. Our soul gets sick - and our body follows. When we give in to negativity, we can not effectively resist our enemy. So, he hangs out and wreaks more havoc in our lives. When we submit ourselves to God AND resist the enemy, he flees. Believing is not passive - it is active. As we actively apply the truth of God's Word to our situations, things will change. Believers are not only called to hear the Word - but to do it as well!

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does. James 1:22-25 NIV

God's Word is our mirror - and His Word tells us that we are chosen, loved, found, saved, forgiven, righteous, healed, delivered, set free, overcomers, more than conquerors, warriors, victorious, blessed, favored, protected, prosperous, cherished and treasured. We are children of God and He is our Father. Our Daddy is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We are His and He is ours. Glory Hallelujah!

One more thing... In my opinion, it is much easier to resist than get rid of! The instant that you discern enemy attack - that is the time to dig your heels in and stand firm - submitted to God - and RESIST!
