I decided this needed it's own title and post - so if you are subscribed...sorry for the double!!!
Miracles are NOT magic - but they are supernatural and are not subject to natural laws - nor are they explainable.
Miracle - An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God.
Magic - the art of producing a desired effect or result through the use of incantation or various other techniques that presumably assure human control of supernatural agencies or the forces of nature. The use of this art: Magic, it was believed, could drive illness from the body.
The Lord said in Leviticus 19:31 ‘Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.'
KEEP YOUR TRUST IN GOD ALONE.
HE IS OUR ALL IN ALL - OUR EVERYTHING.
In Deuteronomy, the Israelites were warned not to follow the abominations of the nations that they would be coming into as their Promised Land. He included: anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who practices witchcraft, a soothsayer, one who interprets omens, a sorcerer, one who conjures spells, a medium, spiritist, or one who communicates with the dead.
I have learned that for everything that is TRUE of GOD - his opposer Satan has a counterfeit. Many times - even when everything lines up on the outside - if your spirit detects that something is just not right - listen - the Holy Spirit of the living God that dwells inside of every believer knows if it is of God or if it is counterfeit nonsense from the enemy. We are to meditate on the Word of God - not letting it depart from our eyes and keeping it in our hearts - God's Word is life and health. We are to guard our hearts - for out of them spring (living water) the issues of life!
Constant meditation on God's Word is good. Positive thoughts that stem out of God's Word are good. Calling things that are not as though they are - following the will of God - which is His Word - is good. Speaking God's Word over ourselves is good - as the power of life and death are in our tongues and His Word is LIFE and HEALTH!
I'm not going into all of the counterfeits - and only the Holy Spirit inside of a believer can be your guide into all truth - not me...
