10-28-09 Update: Isabella called with an URGENT REQUEST for her daughter YVONNE. She seems to have taken a turn for the worse. Please pray for LIFE, COMPLETE HEALING, and RESTORATION in JESUS' NAME!!!

According to:

Psalm 118:17 - Yvonne will not die but LIVE and will proclaim what the LORD has done!

1 Peter 2:24 - Jesus himself bore Yvonne's sins in his body on the tree, so that she might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds Yvonne has been healed.

Psalm 41:3 - The LORD will sustain Yvonne on her sickbed and restore her from her bed of illness.

10-25-09 Update:

Hello All,

Received a text message this morning from Yvonne. She just completed her 3rd round of chemo treatments. This round was more intense, 24 hours a day for 5 days, stronger doses. Yvonne didn't have any of the more common side-effects with rounds 1 & 2, but she is experiencing sickness, vomiting and diarrhea with this round. She requested prayer for the sickness to be taken away and her blood numbers to recover quickly so she can be discharged and return home to her family.

This 3rd round is complete, and the hospital has her on the strong antibiotics to rebuild her immune system. The past 2 nights she has had difficulty sleeping, so she is tired all the time.

9-26-09 Update:

The 2nd round of chemo was completed this week. Without incident!! Yvonne made it through both rounds of chemo without getting violently ill and without any major side effects. The only side effect (which was semi-major to Yvonne) was the loss of her hair. Guess guys don't place the importance on a few strands of protein strung together in the form of covering. We place the importance on seeing our loved one survive and be a continuing part of our lives. But what do we know!! Yes, we prefer you ladies with long, beautiful hair.

After the 2nd round of chemo treatments, the doctors started Yvonne on strong doses of antibiotics. They have kept her in the hospital overnight for one night so far, but other than that one night, she has been on day passes. Checking herself in twice daily for her treatments and then going home.

So far her blood counts have stayed within range, and as long as they do so, she can continue with the day passes. They anticipate having her on the antibiotics for another week. After that, the treatments are completed. There will be frequent check-ups to monitor her blood counts and over all health.

Isn't God faithful!!! Yvonne expresses her gratitude for all of your prayers and encouragement.

Isabella is still in Scotland, still being the "mum". She is staying a little while longer in case she is needed. Her return trip is scheduled for October 12th.

8-18-09 Update:

Yvonne made it through her first round of chemo with flying colors. She still has a full head of hair, none fell out, and she did not become ill from the chemo.

She has been getting antibiotics to combat infections, as well as blood and platelet transfusions. Her hemoglobin count is less than ½ of normal (7 out of 15) and her platelet count remains very low (1 out of 125). She also has developed a rash that covers most of her body.

Yvonne remains in good spirits, she has been developing her faith, and has her new-found faith up expecting a complete healing.

These are the areas that we are standing in faith, for normal blood & platelet counts, all infections & reactions gone, body healed & rid of the cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukemia), family relations completely restored, Tom to come to Jesus. And any other area which the Lord leads you to pray.

8-8-09 Update: Yvonne is in great spirits. She is speaking and claiming her healing. She had a revelation about bitterness and unforgiveness, along with a further revelation about not gossiping about others.

The results are not back yet from the bone marrow tests on the bone marrow they harvested from Yvonne. She started chemo on 8-5-09. The schedule is 10 days of chemo, followed by 14 days of antibiotics, followed by 10 days of rest & recuperation. Then, if all looks good, Yvonne gets to go home to her family.

We are all believing for the "good report" and the chemo will have not harmful side-effects.
